Will be delivered in the Welsh Baptist Chapel, Aberdare, by the Rev. Thos.
Price, on Wednesday evening, September 12th, 1855. The chair will
be taken at at 8 o'clock precisely, by David Davis, Jun., Esq.
Syllabus:—
"The nations engaged in the present war geographically considered —The great extent of the Russian Empire—Its rapid increase southward, from the time of Peter the Great until the death of Nicholas—The causes of the present struggle—The professed reason as given by Russia, and the true reason as transpired through the Secret Correspondence—That Great Britain is justified in taking part in the present war—The progress of the war——The battles of the Danube, the Alma, Balaklava, Inkerman—The siege works before Sebastopol—The naval operations in the Sea of Assof and the Baltic—The probable consequence of the war to Russia, Turkey, England, and to the European States generally—The duty of the English nation not to accept a peace that will not secure the RIGHTS OF THE PEOPLE.
