I have endeavoured to make up a small collection of Welsh MSS. which I shall forward by the waggon from Conway to London tomorrow, and shall be much gratified to hear that any of Carrago are though worthy of your acceptance.

"Such as they are, they are heartily at your service; and I am not without hope that I shall be able to add a few more to the number, probably of greater value, which have been lent by a poor neighbour of mine to Mr. Jno. Williams of Llanrwst and which he has promised to dispose of to me if he can procure them from him.

"As I employ my leisure hours in collecting materials for a history of such parts of this neighbourhood as are situated near the banks of the River Conway on each side from its source to its mouth, which if it please God to prolong my life, I may put together at some future period. Should you or your ingenious and indefatigable friend Mr. W. Owen, happen in the course of your searches in these or any other ancient records, to meet with any local information respecting the antiquities, natural history of this Vale or Biographical Anecdotes of eminent persons connected with this object, a copy of that particular MSS. or a communication of its contents would be rightly gratifying.
